Medical Laboratory Technician Job Details
- Position: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
- Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 (Arizona healthcare jobs)
- Facility: Community hospital, regional referral center
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (September 2, 2025 – December 2, 2025)
- Shifts: Mixed/varied; flexible to work day shifts, rotating weekends, 10-hour or 12-hour shifts
- Hours per Week: 40 (weekly guaranteed hours: 36)
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1450-$1480
- Housing: Provided options available
- Float Requirements: May float to facilities within a 25-mile radius
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
- Current MLT certification (ASCP or equivalent preferred)
- Strong clinical laboratory and microbiology experience, including blood bank, plate reading, sensitivities, and organism identification
- Ability to work flexible shifts: days, nights, and rotating weekends
- Excellent communication, clinical support, and teamwork skills
- Perform laboratory testing and analysis in microbiology and blood bank settings
- Read plates, perform sensitivities, and identify organisms accurately
- Ensure timely and precise reporting of laboratory results
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and Joint Commission standards
- Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient care and healthcare delivery
- Float to other healthcare facilities within a 25-mile radius as needed
