Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in Arizona
- Previous experience working as a School OT preferred
- Comfort with individualized education plans (IEPs) and goal writing
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and develop customized therapy plans to help them thrive in school
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings to update goals and strategies
- Collaborate regularly with educators and other related service providers
- Offer consultation and training to school staff and families to support students’ development
- Help students achieve their academic and functional goals through therapeutic intervention
