Accounts Payable Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst responsible for owning the accounts payable function of the organization, ensuring that vendor invoices, reimbursement requests, and client disbursements are entered and paid in an accurate and timely manner. The analyst will work collaboratively with the rest of the accounting team to modernize policies, processes, and software.

Core Responsibilities:

• Invoice processing: review, verify and process invoices for proper approval and correct coding in accordance with firm policies
• Payment management: prepare and execute payment requests (check, wire, ACH) ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors
• Vendor relations: communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment status, and resolve any issues as they arrive; set up new vendors; reconcile vendor statements
• Expense reporting: manage and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with firm policies and timely reimbursement which includes managing the firm’s corporate credit card accounts
• Process improvement: collaborate with team members while maintaining a forward-thinking outlook regarding software utilization and process improvement to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounts payable function
• Miscellaneous roles: ensure that all firm dues and memberships are processed timely, process all form 1099’s at year-end
• Assist with projects within and outside the department as assigned

• 5 years’ experience in accounts payable role, preferably within the construction industry
• Proficiency in accounts payable software, Vista Viewpoint preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word & Excel
