DTA Staff/Driver

OBJECTIVE

Interact with members and report to DTA Supervisor to implement and improve member goals and objectives, while maintaining a positive environment and being able to complete transportation routes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervision of members in the program setting and in the community.
• Assist members with ADL's such as feeding, toileting, etc., which may involve lifting.
• Be familiar with emergency first aid procedures and accident reporting procedures.
• Drive van safely, able to relocate to other location, follow all guidelines and laws.
• Assist members in getting on/off the van.
• Maintain program Documents such as Member Goals, safety and cleanliness.
• Participate in outings and daily on-site activities with members.
• Always be aware of your group of members, safety on-site and in Transportation Van.
• Assist in crisis intervention as needed.
• Participate in in-service training or meetings.
• Maintain good relations with members, guardians, co-workers, and the public.
• Maintain a manner and appearance.
• Properly lifting individuals up to 50 lbs.
• Individuals over 50 lbs. require a two-person lift or use of a Hoyer lift.

CERTIFICATES REQUIRED

· CPR, First Aid, Article 9 and Prevention and Support Training. We can provide training.

• A valid Arizona Drive License, Social Security Card, and a clear 39-month Arizona Motor Vehicle Report required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Be able to work in an environment where some behaviors may occur, Prevention and Support certification will be provided to learn how to identify behaviors and gain skills. Toileting, changing and maintaining a clean work area is a must. Work as a positive team and be able to communicate with co-workers, supervisors and managers frequently.
