Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Every other weekend requirement (2 weekends per 4-week schedule)
• Holiday requirement: work 2 days and 1 evening or 2 evenings and 1 day for Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving
• Night shifts with first-to-float status
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on 48-bed telemetry unit (two units 4A and 4B)
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must have experience reading basic telemetry strips and interpreting strips at least once per shift
• Experience required with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA, and TIA
• Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation (only one day)
• Navy blue scrubs required
• May float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified
• Care for patients with COVID, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, telemetry, TIA, CVA, and general/orthopedic/spinal surgical patients
• Work with equipment including BiPap, CPAP, high flow oxygen, and breathing treatments
• Unit has 1 shift of department-specific orientation
• Self-scheduling used but subject to manager balancing
• No call or standby requirements
