Heavy Equipment Operator - Traveling
Operates dozers, loaders, excavators, haul trucks or other types of large equipment used for the production of sand, gravel, stone used for Ready-mix and/or asphalt applications. Conducts routine daily inspections of equipment and maintains equipment in a clean and safe manner. Individual will travel to diffrent sites throuhout the year and assist with plant clean up, maintenance, and safety. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Operate various heavy equipment in order to loads trucks, feeds bins with various aggregate materials, maintain proper quantities of material to be loaded.
- Maintain equipment: Keeps equipment clean and orderly.
- Safety: Performs daily inspections on equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental requirements are followed at all times.
- Load material into bins, into crusher, into trucks or into plant.
- Moves earth or other materials from one location to another.
- Performs visual and safety inspection of equipment. May maintain appearance of equipment, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels or perform minor repairs as needed
- Completes are paperwork that may be necessary; assists with other duties required
- Minimum of one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and write.
- Excellent driving skills
