We are seeking a compassionate and experienced House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our children's home, serving kids who have experienced neglect and abuse. The House Manager will be responsible for managing staff, planning meals and activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, and creating a supportive and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the children's home, including staffing, meals, activities, and safety protocols
- Manage a team of staff members, including scheduling, training, and performance management
- Plan nutritious and appealing meals for the children, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences
- Coordinate and participate in activities and outings for the children, with a focus on fun, skill-building, and personal growth
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children through attentive supervision, positive reinforcement, and prompt response to any issues or concerns
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and progress toward goals
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and therapists, to provide comprehensive support for the children
- Create a warm, supportive, and nurturing environment for the children
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, education, or a related field
- Experience working with children who have experienced neglect or abuse
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Strong commitment to the safety and well-being of children
