Heavy Duty Mechanic

Our client in Prescott, AZ, is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our growing team. This is a field-based role working on a wide range of heavy equipment primarily in quarry, crushing, and aggregate environments. If you enjoy hands-on work, independence, and solving complex mechanical problems, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Be Working On

You’ll service and repair heavy equipment, including:

• Wheel loaders

• Track excavators

• Haul trucks & quarry haul trucks

• Jaw, cone, and impact crushers

• Conveyor systems & screen plants

What a Typical Day Looks Like

• Travel to job sites using a company field service truck (all 3 pits are within a 40-mile radius)

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues

• Perform repairs, maintenance, and component replacements

• Work independently in the field with strong problem-solving skills

• Communicate clearly with customers and internal team members

Depending on the situation, field service trucks may be taken home.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of heavy equipment mechanic experience

• Experience in construction, oil & gas, mining, quarry, crushing, or large-scale farming equipment

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Electrical experience is an asset (not required)

• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred due to service trucks)

• Ability to pass drug testing (CDL-regulated; THC included) and full background check

No formal certifications required — experience and skill matter most.
