Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Lead to manage and support the SAP landscape for PetSmart. This role will be responsible for leading Basis administration activities, ensuring system stability, performance, and security across SAP environments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in large-scale enterprise SAP ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities
Lead SAP Basis team in daily operations, system monitoring, and support activities
Manage SAP system installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations
Oversee performance tuning, system optimization, and capacity planning
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness of SAP systems
Coordinate with functional and technical teams for SAP implementations and enhancements
Manage SAP transport system and change control processes
Ensure compliance with security standards, audits, and governance policies
Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide root cause analysis
Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and database teams (HANA/Oracle)
Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior Basis administrators

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
8+ years of SAP Basis experience with at least 2+ years in a leadership role
Strong experience with SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and S/4HANA environments
Hands-on experience with system upgrades, migrations, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
Knowledge of OS (Linux/Unix/Windows) and database administration
Experience in SAP Solution Manager and monitoring tools
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
SAP certifications (Basis, HANA, or S/4HANA)
Experience in retail industry environments
Familiarity with automation tools and DevOps practices
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Location: Arizona (onsite/hybrid depending on project needs)
