Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company—an online tutoring platform—needs dedicated adult literacy tutors who can provide immediate, effective instruction from across the U.S. These instructors will accept on-demand tutoring requests via the Live Learning Platform, work on their own schedule, and offer high-quality, personalized support to students in real time.
Responsibilities
- Accept instant tutoring requests for Adult Literacy through the Live Learning Platform.
- Deliver individualized teaching to adult learners, explaining concepts clearly and adapting to student needs.
- Use the platform’s tools—including the AI‑powered Tutor Copilot—to design lessons and keep students engaged.
- Invoice completed sessions for payment and log each tutoring session accurately.
What We Look For
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
- Expertise in Adult Literacy with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
- Ability to quickly assess student needs and provide targeted help.
- Prior tutoring, teaching experience, and graduate‑level education are a priority.
